Do you see it??

 adriano bday 025

You know that HUGE white thing I’m all cuddled up to…..do you understand  what this means people? Ignore the zit, the fact that I haven’t brushed my teeth or my hair…concentrate people..!

It officially felt like winter here last night. And by winter I mean it was a cool 65 degrees. Alright as night set in, it was probably 60. Hence the need of the big white cover (for me, not for Sidnei). I cannot even describe the happiness that this makes. I miss sleeping with blankets. And I have been SO SO SO hot. Thank goodness for the reprieve that is “winter” here. And honestly, we kind of just got the perfect storm of weather because it had been hot and humid all day. But a great thunderstorm blew in, bringing all kinds of rain and the blessed WIND! The wind was cold and cooled everything off. 60 degree weather is about as cool as we get…at night. During the day it hoovers somewhere between 75-90. More towards 75 if we’re lucky!

Anyway, I’ve never been so grateful for winter. Just thought I’d share my enthusiasm.

You with the blanket, Sidnei without - made me smile, same thing happens in our house! But tell me - do the houses in MG also get reeeallly cold?! Drives me crazy....
How is the house move coming along? And teaching?

Hahah, you can probably bet that the blanket for the gringa and no blanket for Brazilian is pretty common ... here too! and I am just as relieved as you!!!! I actually wore JEANS yesterday and a TSHIRT (ie. no tanktop!!) it's amazing - I could have even worn a thin long sleeve shirt, it's so fantastically cool... :D

I know EXACTLY what you are talking about. I felt a shiver of glee when I had to go to the clothes cupboard to get a blanket the other day. AHHHH... Not sleeping on top of the bed, not sleeping under just a sheet, but actually using a blanket to keep a chill away. Pure bliss.

Well, since we're just seeing the first signs of summer here, I share your enthusiasm... but flipped. ;)

YAY for the changing of seasons, because one can only take so much of a good thing.

I'm with you, sister! I actually feel bummed out halfway through summer because it's too hot for sweats but nothing feels as cozy as sweats. You're a trooper!
