She has arrived!

On June 9, Ana Beatriz arrived at 11:45pm! Her original due date was June 24, but no one was surprised she came early! Poor little girl had a rough start coming in! My SIL’s placenta detached, she started hemorrhaging, and the baby swallowed a lot of blood. She had to be in the nursery for the first 5 day, but she is doing great! And Momma is too! They both came home one week later! I feel like I waited so long for her to get here and at the same time, she got here so quickly! Without further ado, I introduce you to Ana…

Here she was just a little yellow and had to take the “light bath in the hospital!

And here she is with Tio Sidnei!

She is so cute and tiny! I’m sure as the months pass there will be more and more about little Ana!

I'm sure I speak for everyone when I say, "AWWWWWWWWW." Has having a newborn around gotten your clock ticking at all?

Hi Stephanie, congratulations on the baby! que linda :)

you won't be able to find cocoa powder at groceries stores, pretty much only specialiced confectoinary stores will carry it (i've found two in my city so hopefully you have at least one). It's sold in large bags by the kilo, and really is just called chocolate powder (chocolate em po). It's not the same as Hershey's though, you won't find a small can of premium 99% cocoa, but it is pretty good for what it is. if you have NO idea if there is a confectionary store in your town, i suggest going to the bakery department in any grocery store and ask the guy behind the conter about it, that's how i found my sotre ;) i told him i really neaded confectioner's sugar and things for real bakers, and he pointed me to the right place. i think cocoa powder is so hard to find because (not to generalize but....) most brazilians don't make brigaddeiros, they buy them.

good luck!
good luck!
