And it starts!

I started it. Tonight. And I was SO proud of myself!

I ran 2 miles. I did it in 22 minutes and 30 seconds.

Is that a long time?? Yes. Will it get shorter?? Yes!

In March I am supposed to run a HALF marathon!

Am I worried?? Yeah. But I believe I can do it. A couple miles at a time!

I'll do it again tomorrow too! Woo hoo! I am going to run Monday-Saturday. Saturday will be my LONG runs. Yikes! Sunday will be my day of REST. Because He KNOWS I'm going to need one!

Also I have lost 17 of the 20 pounds I wanted to lose! YES! My new goal is 20 more! I am hoping that with all the training I can make that happen!

So is this one of my New Year Resolutions?...sure. But more of just something I really, really want to accomplish for ME! And Money. I need to SAVE, SAVE, SAVE.

I will check in every once in a while with posts that have updates! I KNOW you are excited!

You can do it!!! I know another blogger who started running about 19 months ago. She lost 75 lbs and she went from not being able to run a block to doing half marathons and she just did her first FULL marathon!! Her blog is eventheniceones.blogspot.com and her name is Amanda. Check her out.

Hey, your handle changed when you commented to me... it used to be Mrsdemiranda and now it is Mrs.S I was all confused at first, but I think I got it now.

Have a happy new year. Keep up with the running. I'm rooting for you!

Good for you! I should get back at it too. I used to run about 2 miles along Lake Michigan...it was so beautiful and calming. Once you get older, you just don't have the energy anymore!

Have a wonderful New Years!

Hugz,
Michele

P.S. Congrats on the weight loss too!

having to catch up after a long holiday break - almost didn't recognize your name, but hugely excited that Mr and Mrs S may soon be re-united!

and that time for 2 miles is great to me - I'd probably have died somewhere on the second mile so I'm impressed

what an inspiration! I need a little motivation! Congrats on the weight loss! how are you doing it other than running?

17 pounds!! That's fabulous! Especially around the Holidays. I've gained 10 pounds since Thanksgiving. Oh, and your time is really good! Gilberto is training for a physical test, and he's down to a mile and a half in 15 minutes. Once he's done he collapses on the floor, lol.

Happy New Year!
